Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- Mix mashed bananas, sugar, melted butter, and eggs until well combined.
- Stir in flour and baking soda until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cake cool completely before frosting.
- Beat cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Spread over cooled cake.
Notes
For a richer flavor, add chopped nuts or chocolate chips to the batter.
