Ingredients
  

Dairy & Eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Fruits & Cookies
  • 4 ripe bananas ripe bananas sliced
  • 1 package vanilla wafers or ladyfingers
Topping
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Method
 

  1. In a saucepan, whisk together milk, sugar, and flour over medium heat until thickened.
  2. Remove from heat and whisk in egg yolks and vanilla extract; cook for another 2 minutes.
  3. Layer sliced bananas and cookies in a serving dish, then pour pudding over the layers.
  4. Repeat layers and finish with a layer of cookies on top.
  5. Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form and spread over the pudding.

Notes

Chill the pudding for at least 2 hours before serving for best flavor.
